If you are also pursuing your baby's journey, perhaps my firsthand experience can bring you some inspiration and courage. As a mother who has been trying in China for many years without success, I ultimately chose to go to the United States for in vitro fertilization (IVF) to assist with pregnancy. The entire process, from consultation to successful pregnancy, took only 30 days, as if witnessing a miracle.

After weighing multiple factors, I ultimately settled on the INCINTA Fertility Center located in Torrance, California (led by Dr. James P. Lin's team). The medical equipment here is advanced, the process is standardized and transparent, and it can provide full English service and Chinese translation support. For efficiency and safety considerations, I have decided to embark on a new journey here.
đĄ Step 1: First Remote Consultation (Day 1)
After submitting the appointment information through the hospital's official website, I received an email confirmation from the expert team and provided a preliminary evaluation form. After filling out the form online, a 50 minute in-depth video interview was conducted remotely with Dr. James P. Lin, discussing past medical history, family genetics, previous examination reports, and more. The doctor patiently answered, giving me a clear understanding of the entire process.
â Step 2: Physical examination and evaluation (Days 2-5)
After arriving in Los Angeles, go to INCINTA Fertility Center for a complete set of laboratory tests, including blood routine, hormone levels, ultrasound follicle monitoring, uterine evaluation, etc. All reports were complete within five days, and after consultation with the doctor, a customized ovulation induction and transplantation plan was developed for me.
đ Step 3: Ovulation induction stage (days 6-14)
Start daily injection of ejaculation promoting injections (self injection under the guidance of a nurse), combined with oral medication and vitamin supplementation. Every morning, go to the clinic for ultrasound monitoring of follicle development and synchronous testing of serum hormone levels. Although the whole process required injections, the nurses were very gentle and gave me a lot of psychological comfort. On the fourteenth day, ultrasound showed an ideal number of mature follicles, and the doctor arranged for egg retrieval surgery.

đŹ Step 4: Egg retrieval surgery (Day 15)
I arrived at the clinic early that morning and the doctor completed the egg retrieval procedure under brief anesthesia, which only took 20 minutes. After waking up, I rested for an hour in the lounge and the doctor informed me that 8 follicles had been retrieved, and every step went smoothly. The whole process was like a minor surgery, but the pain was minimal, and the nurse even gave a warm hug.
đ Step 5: Embryo Culture (Days 16-20)
After egg retrieval, the hospital laboratory will combine the egg with sperm to observe fertilization and division. On the 3rd and 5th day, a grade assessment will be conducted to select the best quality embryos for transplantation preparation. I am very lucky to have 2 high-quality embryos that have entered the blastocyst stage and are frozen for transplantation.
â Step 6: Preparation before transplantation (Day 21)
The day before the transplant, I started supplementing with luteinizing hormone to maintain the best condition of the endometrium. The doctor also arranged an ultrasound examination to confirm that the thickness of the endometrium and blood flow had reached the desired level. At that moment, my mood was both nervous and excited.
đĄ Step 7: Embryo Transfer (Day 22)
On the day of transplantation, it only takes 10 minutes, and the process is painless and fast. The doctor places the highest quality blastocysts into the uterine cavity through a catheter and conducts the entire process under ultrasound monitoring, ensuring safety and security. The nurse brought me a hot water bottle and reminded me to rest more and drink more water after the surgery.
đ Step 8: Rest after transplantation (days 23-28)
This period has been a great test of patience. I rest in bed according to the doctor's advice, taking oral and injectable medications, and avoiding intense exercise and emotional fluctuations. Read books, watch movies, recharge yourself, and walk around every day to relax your body. Maintaining a calm mindset is my most important task at this moment.
đŻ Step 9: First HCG blood test (Day 29)
On the seventh day after transplantation, return to the clinic to have blood drawn for testing of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) levels. During these few hours of waiting for the results, I was both excited and nervous. Finally, âHCGďź256 mIU/mLâďź This is a pleasing number, indicating that the embryo has successfully implanted.
đ Step 10: Diagnose Pregnancy (Day 30)
The doctor reviewed the ultrasound and found a gestational sac in the uterus, and the baby's heartbeat was clearly visible. At that moment, my eyes were moist, and all the suffering, persistence, and expectations turned into a heart full of joy. The cooking team gave me a small gift: a congratulatory card and a warm reminder, which made me feel the warmth of home.
