Here will be a true record of my 30 day journey and detailed expenses in the United States, so that you who have the same idea can prepare in advance! π‘

1γ Pre departure Preparation (Domestic Edition) π
1. Consultation and Information Preparation: In order to ensure a smooth itinerary, we start preparing three months before departure: β’ All identification documents, marriage certificates, and notarized documents of both spouses; Reports of endocrine examination, gynecological ultrasound, semen routine examination, etc. in the past 6 months; β’ English version of the physical examination report and its translation; β’ Required documents for medical visa (I-20 form, DS-160 form, etc.).
After comparing costs, success rates, and reputation among multiple reproductive centers in the United States, we ultimately settled on INCINTA Fertility Center (Torrance, California) π΄γ After experiencing the phone/video consultation, I paid a small deposit and made an appointment for my first visit.
3. Psychological and economic preparation: The road to IVF cannot be achieved overnight, and at least requires a complete cycle of ovulation induction, egg retrieval, fertilization, blastocyst culture, and embryo transfer. Psychological fluctuations, injection pain, and long waiting times all require psychological expectations. π¬

2γ 30 Day Full Process Recording in the United States (Day 1 to Day 30) ποΈ
Day 1-3: Entry and initial consultation. After arriving in Los Angeles, check into a nearby hotel on the same day and adjust the time difference; On the morning of Day 2, go to INCINTA Fertility Center to complete the first endocrine blood draw and negative ultrasound examination; The doctor develops an exclusive ovulation induction plan based on the report and obtains a medication list (mainly for follicle stimulating injections and luteal support drugs).
Day 4-12: Ovulation induction monitoring period β’ Visit the clinic every 2-3 days for blood HCG+estrogen+negative ultrasound monitoring; Inject once/twice a day, the pain is tolerable; Doctors adjust medication dosage based on monitoring results to ensure follicle maturity; Psychological fluctuations are significant, and emotional management is important. It is recommended to exercise and relax every day.
Day 13: Egg retrieval surgery (minor surgery) β’ Fasting the night before egg retrieval; Go to the clinic early, get anesthesia and sleep, and undergo minor surgery to retrieve eggs for about 15 minutes; After awakening from anesthesia, there is no obvious pain, only slight bloating, and it is necessary to lie down for 2 hours for observation; On the same day, return to the hotel to rest, and the next day you can get up and move around normally.
Day 14-18: Laboratory Fertilization and Embryo Culture β’ After retrieving the egg, the laboratory performs in vitro fertilization with the partner's semen; Observe fertilization and embryo division; After approximately 5-6 days, select 2-3 high-quality blastocysts and freeze the remaining healthy blastocysts for preservation; At this stage, most of the work involves tracking reports and video calls to inform about the embryo's condition.
Day 19-22: Uterine preparation and embryo transfer β’ If you choose to transfer in this cycle, you need to continue receiving estrogen, luteal support, etc; When the thickness of the endometrium reaches 8mm or more through transvaginal ultrasound monitoring, the transplantation date can be agreed upon; On the day of transplantation, there is no need for anesthesia, like a small hysteroscopy examination, which is painless and lasts about 10 minutes; After transplantation, stay in bed for 2 hours and the doctor will provide precautions and luteal support plan.
Day 23-30: two-week waiting period (embarrassing) β’ Blood HCG test starts on the 10th day after transplantation; On the 12th day, perform the first blood HCG confirmation to see if the value increases within the normal range; β’ With fluctuating emotions, it is recommended to rest more, avoid lifting heavy objects, and avoid vigorous exercise; On the 30th day, the doctor called to inform of formal pregnancy or the need for further plans.
